61-year-old to be the oldest football player ever to play for a 4-year college

Alan Moore is 61. A couple years ago, he built himself some goalposts in his daughter’s backyard and started practicing kicking so that he could finish a college football career that was cut short by the Vietnam War.
In a few days, he’ll take the field for his first game in 43 years.

From AL.com
Faulkner University officials say that after clearing up a few eligibility concerns, Alan Moore, a former college football player in the 1960s and Vietnam veteran, will take to the field once again this season as the Eagles’ newest team member.
